All set for Offshore Wind Connections 2016

The fourth, annual Offshore Wind Connections conference and exhibition, OWC2016, will bring key industry figures to The Spa, Bridlington on Thursday, May 12.

This Team Humber Marine Alliance event has become the leading regional industry fixture for all those interested in the growing offshore wind sector in the North Sea and beyond.

Mark O’Reilly, CEO and chairman of THMA, said: “OWC2016 is a high profile event which will attract regional, national and international delegates and key industry speakers, and offer fantastic networking opportunities.

“Yorkshire and the Humber is a major centre of the offshore wind industry with billions of pounds to be invested in infrastructure, construction, operations and maintenance.

“This is the best location to access all three of the UK’s largest wind farms and 80 per cent of all North Sea offshore wind farms; about 60 per cent of the entire European offshore wind market by 2020 will be within 12 hours’ steaming.”

OWC2016 will feature talks on the latest developments in the offshore industry including updates on key projects from developers, government organisations, manufacturers, maintenance service providers, port operators, marine support, vessel owners and operators.

The morning session will have contributions from guest speakers and there will be afternoon seminars and workshops on specific subjects.

Full details about OWC2016 which will be revealed in the coming weeks and months.
